Welcome to the Bushmaster Tour.
The Bushmaster Tour is a multi-day tour where you accompany our herpotologists deep into the rainforests of Costa Rica for several days to find the Queen of Snakes the Bushmaster Laches Stenophis.
This tour is suitable for photographers,herpotologists nature lovers. Also for people who are on survival tours and want to experience the hinterland Costa Rica.
Course of the tour
We meet at the Biological Station in Bri Bri or we pick them up at a determined place.
The first day and night we will spend at our Biological Station in Bri Bri near the Volio Waterfall. Here we have the opportunity to get to know each other and to discuss and organize the tour together.
The Bushmaster tours take place in different locations so the team selects the area of application in which we search for the Bushmaster and we put together the equipment for our Herpotological excursion. In the early morning, with the complete equipment with a car, we go closer to the selected place. From there we hike into the rainforest to find a suitable place for camping (this hike can be exhausting and stretch for hours through jungle trails)
In a suitable place we build our rainforest camp.
We will build a canopy of natural materials a joy spot as well as look for drinking water and food in the rainforest.
Even during the day we explore the area so that we have a better overview in the area of operation at night during the night excursions.
During the exploration tripwewill probably see some reptiles and amphibians and many other animals.
After exploring we go back to the camp there we will prepare a meal from the food and food we have found in the rainforest.
